The half that runs on your phone

The obslive app handles the camera, composition and streaming; the console drives it. Same account on both — they find each other when you go live, and you never touch a streaming setting.

Early access for now. The app is still in store review; access is going out through TestFlight (iOS) and Google Play internal testing (Android). Sign up and we will send you the invite.

Getting started

Three steps, no streaming settings

01

Start a broadcast in the console

Log in on a computer or tablet and set up the channels and screen for this session. Do not touch the phone yet.

02

Open the app on the phone

Log in with the same account and the app finds the session you just created — no address to paste, no key to copy.

03

Mount the phone and drive from the console

Scenes, product cards and tickers are all controlled from the console. The phone is not touched again.

Why the app

Composition and standby both live on the phone

Cards, tickers and countdowns are composed into the picture on the device, and so is the standby fallback when the signal degrades. A general streaming app does neither — it only sends the camera feed.

  • No stream address or key to paste — the step most people get stuck on simply does not exist
  • Cards and tickers are composed into the video, so viewers see them on the platform
  • Standby engages automatically when the signal degrades, so the platform never ends the broadcast

Already using OBS or another streaming app? Paid plans can enable third-party streaming and we will give you an RTMP address and key — but card composition and standby are app-only.
